World's Greatest Free Venture Capital & Angel Investor Search Engines

Let me show you how those overpriced venture capital directories are compiled. Go to any of these sites:

www.yahoo.com

www.bing.com

www.google.com

Then do a search on venture capital and your city. For example, if you live in Boston, do a search on "venture capital, Boston". Then visit the websites to determine what industries the venture capital firms invest in. Likewise, if you are in New York and looking for angel investors, search for "New York, angel investors groups."

As mentioned repeatedly, cold calling strangers will get you nowhere. Venture capitalists tend to be polite people who will usually give you a few minutes on the phone, but do not mistake that politeness for interest.

Don't waste your money on lists and directoris that come with price tags ranging from $50 to thousands. The publishers compile their lists using search engines and association directories.

Or just use the free venture capital and angel investor directories on this site.
